God is Sovereign
Isaiah 44:24-26 ‘Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, “I am the LORD, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with Me when I made the earth? I expose the false prophets as liars and make fools of fortune-tellers. I cause the wise to give bad advice, thus proving them to be fools. But I carry out the predictions of My prophets!”’
God is Sovereign – that is He has royalty, supreme rank, power, or authority and is supreme, preeminent, indisputable, greatest in degree, utmost or extreme, being above all others in character, importance, excellence, etc. He is like the ruler of a country who can do whatever He wants except His ‘country’ is the entire universe and He knows everything and has all power to do whatever He wishes. He not only has the right, but the power to control every atom of the entire universe and every event. Wrap your mind around that if you can.
Does He directly cause what we would call ‘bad’ things? No, but they could not happen if He did not allow them to happen. He made us and the universe and it is His right alone to say what happens in it, not yours or mine. At the same time, God made us with a free will and by bad choices Adam and others since him have made, sin has corrupted this world, but the LORD says too He is our Redeemer. He sent Jesus to buy us back, like you would redeem a pawn ticket, from the death that sin brings and provide a free gift of a new eternal life in Jesus.
You can keep on arguing with God about things that have happened in the past, or you can realize He is God and you are not and receive the free gift of pardon, be redeemed and become a true child of God; and spend eternity with Him. In eternity for the lost is punishment, but for the redeemed there is a place of no more sorrow or tears, but joy. A place of eternal worship of God in wonderful ways we can not imagine. The choice is now yours. The creator God has the power to change you no matter who you are or what you have or have not done. Say YES to God or say yes to punishment in eternal darkness, pain and loneliness.
Been redeemed, share with others they are deserving of hell, but that God loves them and provided for them a new life in Christ too if they will receive Him as their Lord.
